DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH: Contrary to what Grout claims, being able to breathe more efficiently won't help you burn fat. You still have to exercise and eat healthfully. James Wright, Ph.D., exercise physiologist, says, "I can't stress this enough: There is no basis for it whatsoever. Even if you were to breathe pure oxygen, it's not going to raise your oxygen-carrying capacity. Only exercise can do that."
