What exactly made the 1980's a dominat decade? Not only were there radically changing views on religion, politics, values, fashion and sexual preferences, but there were great advances in technology and medicine. This decade was the decade of change, some for the better, some for the worst. This page is dedicated to the most important events that happened between the years 1980-1989. 3. Bill Gates licenses MS-DOS to IBM.

1. First launch of a space shuttle.
2. Pac-Man is introduced.

1982
1. John Belushi dies.
2. Liposuction is introduced.
3. Prince William is born.
