Age of Empires 3 is the newest installment in the Age of Empires series, like the games before it, the game combines actual military history and military units from many different cultures and civilizations over the past few thousand years. The names, weapons, and the way the units look is based from actual history. The only thing made up in this game is the storyline for the campaign. The newest addition to the Age of Empires series now has actual 3-D and real life physics in the game itself. As you can clearly see by the picture above, when a cannon fires smoke actually comes out of the cannon. When a person gets hit by a cannonball they are knocked backwards or thrown into the air. This particular series of the game focuses on the age’s right before and after the revolutionary war.
