Aztec Eagle Warrior
These warriors fling javelins at enemies from a distance, they are good at attacking infantry, but not at all effective in close range combat, if you use these natives keep your distance.
Aztec Jaguar Warrior
These warriors are the exact opposite of the Eagle Warrior, they excel at close range combat, and they are especially good at defeating hand infantry.
Canoe
This is a native boat that can attack, fish or transport units, if you need boats do not use this canoe for war, it is not powerful, it is okay for fishing and transporting units, but it is just too weak to attack other ships.
Carib Blowgunner
This infantry unit is very good at killing infantry units, it is best to keep enemies from closing in on this unit, and they are effective in melee combat. I would not use this unit against artillery or cavalry.
Cherokee Rifleman
This native rifleman has a good range and a lot of hit points and a high damage. These riflemen are best grouped with Musketeers or Skirmishers. Like most ranged units, they are best at a distance. I personally recommend using these natives every chance you get.
Commanche Horse Archer
This native warrior serves the same functions as a regular Cavalry Archer. They are fast, good against hand cavalry and very good at hit and run attacks. If you plan on using a lot of Cavalry Archers invest some money into a few Commanche Horse Archers.
Cree Tracker
These riflemen have a lot of hit points even more than the Cherokee riflemen, and a good line of sight, don’t start thinking they are the best riflemen just yet, even though they have a lot of hit points and a good line of sight, they have a pretty low damage for riflemen, if you like native riflemen I would just stick to Cherokee riflemen.
Incan Bolas Warrior
This unit flings rocks at other warriors from a distance, these natives are a lot like the Aztec Eagle Warriors, they are good at killing infantry, but only good at a distance, keep your distance and don’t let the enemy close in for the kill.
Incan Huaminca
They have good hit points and a high attack, but they are not real good at attacking cavalry or infantry for that matter, they have a high siege damage, so if you use them only use them to attack buildings.

Iroquois Mantlet
This is a slow moving siege unit that is good at attacking buildings, do not use this unit against anything else but buildings.
Iroquois Tomahawk
These warriors throw tomahawks from a distance, they can attack in hand to hand combat, but it is better if you keep your distance, they excel at attacking hand infantry, but keep them away from cavalry and artillery, I myself do not like these, even fully upgraded they have low hit points and not a lot of damage.
Maya Holcan Spearman
This is a warrior best used against cavalry and buildings, they can only attack in melee combat, they do okay against infantry but stick to cavalry and buildings when using this unit.
Nootka Clubman
These clubman are not very powerful, and can only attack at close range. If you insist on using them only attack a couple of units at a time with the whole group of clubman.
Scout
This unit will help your explorer look around the new territory, the scout unlike the Envoy from the Dutch civilization can attack, but he is still weak, a weak damage with not very much life, don’t send this unit out on his own unless you enjoy watching him die. If you send him out to explore send a couple of other units with him.
Seminole Sharktooth Bowman
These bowman are almost perfect, a very high damage, very effective against buildings, but they have a very short range. Even with the short range, they are strong enough to take out any building, and excel at destroying slow moving infantry from a distance.
Lakota Axe Rider
These axe riders are very fast and when upgraded have high melee damage. If you plan to use hand cavalry I would suggest grouping these units together, the Lakota axe riders are actually more powerful than most other civilizations cavalry so use them if you can.
Lakota Dog Soldier
This is the same as the Lakota Axe Rider but much more powerful and you can have only one of them, the Dog Soldier is just as fast and more powerful with more hit points than his fellow Axe Riders.
Tupi Blackwood Archer
These archers are equal to the British Longbowman. These archers have a long range and a high damage, and excel against infantry. Also like the Longbowman they have limited hit points, keep them at their maximum distance when attacking enemy soldiers.
