o give credit where credit is due....
All of my information comes from J.R.R. Tolkien's book The Silmarillion, edited by his son Christopher Tolkien. The book was published posthumously in 1977. The citations can be found below, in order of which section the page came from. Most of the pictures on this site were painted by Ted Nasmith. I scanned many of them out of The Silmarillion with illustrations by Ted Nasmith. I also got some of them off the web from Art by Ted Nasmith-The Silmarillion. I also scanned a few pictures out of Tolkien's World: Paintings of Middle-Earth.
